It does match my Snow White skin, after all - HA!<br />
<br />
But let's be real, sometimes it can be hard for an ultra pale gal like me to wear whites without blinding people, but I say if you're liking the pale shades of white this summer, go for them! We all have to face the sun sooner or later.<br />
<br />
When I think of the "colour" (colour/shade debate - you decide) white, I think of things like daisies, marshmallows, and light sandy beaches. If that doesn't scream S-U-M-M-E-R to you, I don't know what does. <br />
<br />
[Side note: Yes, I am aware that I have left out the obvious: snow, snowmen, wild yetis. Realistically, who wants to blend in with the snow? I stick to my darks in the winter for a reason. I'll stop with the pale jokes now. Did you hear? Pale is the new tan. It even said on a t-shirt.]<br />
<br />
These five picks are great to pair with a splash of colour or simple neutrals like black, but I would bring out the light greys and earthy tones. Save your black wardrobe for the dreary months of slush invasions and ice traps. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-3FdfY0SzwGg/U6d1Ok1kDSI/AAAAAAAAALs/LklpCNC-yHM/s1600/P1050953.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-3FdfY0SzwGg/U6d1Ok1kDSI/AAAAAAAAALs/LklpCNC-yHM/s1600/P1050953.JPG" height="525" /></a></div>
<br />
<a name='more'></a>1. The Blazer (Dynamite): Perfect to top off that summer dress or to keep those arms a tad warmer during a summer evening bash.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-oapxsyQtrHo/U6d2ZLoesaI/AAAAAAAAAL4/OTnFZk_vO5I/s1600/P1050960.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-oapxsyQtrHo/U6d2ZLoesaI/AAAAAAAAAL4/OTnFZk_vO5I/s1600/P1050960.JPG" height="525" /></a></div>
<br />
2. The Patterned Top (Forever 21): If you're bored of the monochromatic
look and thirst for something a little more unique, patterned tops
always spice up any t-shirt and jeans look! Note: patterns like this may
or may not mesmerize your boyfriend/girlfriend/partner/cat.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-O_z1nSWbz6c/U6d2mdJvjeI/AAAAAAAAAMA/OA6Tg0KmCcU/s1600/P1050959.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-O_z1nSWbz6c/U6d2mdJvjeI/AAAAAAAAAMA/OA6Tg0KmCcU/s1600/P1050959.JPG" height="525" /></a></div>
<br />
3. The Romper/Jumper (Mendocino): Too lazy to put on more than one
item of clothing? You can slip this baby right on and be straight out
the door! (okay... don't forget shoes either... and maybe a bag for your
wallet/keys/phone... I'm gettin' all "parent" on you, I apologize).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nU9K6weTCKs/U6d2-gXEUHI/AAAAAAAAAMQ/aJxguCIY3Rk/s1600/P1050954.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nU9K6weTCKs/U6d2-gXEUHI/AAAAAAAAAMQ/aJxguCIY3Rk/s1600/P1050954.JPG" height="525" /></a></div>
<br />
4. The Asymmetric Skirt (Dynamite): These skirts are all
the rage this season, and I'm loving mine from Dynamite. You can dress
it up or down, casual or smart. Just try not to stain it, that wouldn't
be that great.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-sXPfoKwDie0/U7_oyi_bnmI/AAAAAAAAAQE/LHdvupNqBPw/s1600/P1050962.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-sXPfoKwDie0/U7_oyi_bnmI/AAAAAAAAAQE/LHdvupNqBPw/s1600/P1050962.JPG" height="525" /></a></div>
<br />
5. The Bag (Forever 21): I was drawn to the faux snakeskin detail along
the bag, which transforms this average shoulder purse into quite a
sight for sore eyes. It's the detail in the fabric ladies and gents!
This piece is so versatile, it can even be paired with a paper sack if
you so please (?).<br />
<br />
Have you been loving white pieces this summer? Share in the comments below, I'd love your feedback!<br />

Justin and I opted for an acclaimed classic: Pizza Libretto. If you've never once had wood oven pizza, you are severely deprived. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-xD422Qt893o/U6ROauh0v7I/AAAAAAAAAKU/1A3_6uLgl94/s1600/P1060087.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-xD422Qt893o/U6ROauh0v7I/AAAAAAAAAKU/1A3_6uLgl94/s1600/P1060087.JPG" height="525" /></a></div>
<br />
<a name='more'></a><u>The nitty-gritty</u><br />
Located in the heart of Greek Town in Toronto, this two location chain never ceases to disappoint my palate... and eyes! I mean, look at that beautiful creation! When I make pizza at home, the base usually consists of trusty pita bread. The less I have to mould things, the better.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DUxMDr8My2I/U6RQt4pA8aI/AAAAAAAAAKw/t-HHq0JLsQs/s1600/DateNightPizzaPark.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DUxMDr8My2I/U6RQt4pA8aI/AAAAAAAAAKw/t-HHq0JLsQs/s1600/DateNightPizzaPark.jpg" height="525" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<u>The outfit//makeup</u><br />
I went a little wild for the summer brights, sporting a bright orange shift dress that I purchased about a month or so ago from the never disappointing Forever 21. The dress was paired with my H&M olive moto jacket, Urban Outfitters slouchy bag, Old Navy gladiator ring and wrap bracelet, and black studded Aldo sandals. Sha-bang!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Foundation #05 Neutral - Rimmel Stay Matte Powder #003 Natural - Nars
Radiant Creamy Concealer "Vanilla" - Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil
Bronzer "Light/Medium Matte" - Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush
"Tipsy"<br />
<u>Eyes:</u> Maybelline Color Tattoo #70 Barely Branded on lid and #35 Tough as Taupe in crease - L'Oréal Voluminous False Fiber Lashes Mascara #J100<br />
<u>Lips:</u> Keepin' it soft and simple with some cherry Chapstick! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-qemfLQZBtM4/U6RWQBgl01I/AAAAAAAAALQ/JIlLZMWPs10/s1600/P1060066.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-qemfLQZBtM4/U6RWQBgl01I/AAAAAAAAALQ/JIlLZMWPs10/s1600/P1060066.JPG" height="525" /></a></div>
<br />
<u>The little extra "something"</u><br />
I think we all called food for this one. Also on the Danforth stretch is a quite populated gelato place known as "Dolce", and let me tell you, this creamy goodness was nothing short of sweet. I opted for some french vanilla bean mixed with some sort of caramel flavour that I embarrassingly attempted, and failed, to pronounce. Our bellies were full from the pizza eating, but I was determined to snag some dessert, having been on a "health kick" (note quotation marks... bread is my homeboy) for a good portion of the summer. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QF1iuDf9OYQ/U6RUsU2dG1I/AAAAAAAAAK8/_caoyFEPI5c/s1600/P1060089.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QF1iuDf9OYQ/U6RUsU2dG1I/AAAAAAAAAK8/_caoyFEPI5c/s1600/P1060089.JPG" height="525" /></a></div>
<br />
This caca face and I haven't been out for a proper dine-in for quite some time, and it was nice to have some face-time (the real, human-is-sitting-in-front-of-me kind). What will <u>you</u> be up to this upcoming weekend?<br />

</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Have you ever been in love? In the world of things, I think I've only come close twice. My love for guacamole will soon be evident, but my second love has to be this beauty of a lipstick. Materialistic indulgences aside, I purchased this baby with a gift card I got for my birthday last year. Let me tell you, I couldn't be happier that I had used the $60.00 gift card for this one item; it is a godsend to my lips! You're probably thinking, "man, this chick's exaggerating", but you do have the option to try before you buy! Visit your local Sephora/YSL counter, slick it on, and be transported to the land of the unicorns. Okay, maybe that's a stretch...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-R0WH0PMeq5s/U49RPof5cUI/AAAAAAAAAIQ/mMXwqgfXcyQ/s1600/TheLippyPost1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-R0WH0PMeq5s/U49RPof5cUI/AAAAAAAAAIQ/mMXwqgfXcyQ/s1600/TheLippyPost1.jpg"height="525" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
First, let us discuss the packaging. This lipstick is the definition of luxe in a container. The gold exterior, along with the YSL engraving, mold this lipstick as more of an accessory than a makeup product. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DSOjclm9mpc/U48ef9bysII/AAAAAAAAAHk/D4hBM6shAak/s1600/P1050378.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DSOjclm9mpc/U48ef9bysII/AAAAAAAAAHk/D4hBM6shAak/s1600/P1050378.JPG" height="525" /></a></div>
<br />
Second, the consistency of the lipstick is smooth smooth smooth! It glides on to the lips, making sure not to get into any of those pesky crevices. In fact, the lipstick acts as a dual lip colour and moisturizer. I have never found a lip stick that applies so easily on the lips. I wouldn't compare it to a gloss because although is has a similar element of shine, it is not at all sticky or heavy on the lips. A little side luxury: the smell is absolutely amazing. The product smells like watermelon, but the scent is light, not overly-fruity.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MhMQe1nGunY/U48ewsjkW7I/AAAAAAAAAHw/HTrcXm9qxxw/s1600/P1050396.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MhMQe1nGunY/U48ewsjkW7I/AAAAAAAAAHw/HTrcXm9qxxw/s1600/P1050396.JPG" height="525" /></a></div>
<br />
As for the colour, it is quite different as photographed on the Sephora website. "Pink in<br />
Paris" appears to be a more muted rose online, while pictured on both my lips and in the container the lipstick embodies a more vibrant pink. I still think the YSL luxury is absolutely perfect for everyday wear. Despite its vibrancy, the product does not scream "PARTY WITH ME", but rather, "I am the perfect candidate for a picnic in the park". Pair it with a nice rosy cheek and some natural eyes, and you're good to go!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
I'm doing it.<br />
<br />
I am finally embarking on the journey that is blog-writing. Is one even supposed to write an introductory blog post up in these places? Being the new girl on the block is an intriguing and simultaneously fear-inducing role, but I am ready for you guys! Hit me!<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
I am a fan of list making. Therefore, that may be incorporated a little too much into the writing process. We've all got our shameless indulgences, what can I say.<br />
<br />
What to expect from this 'blog-type-thingy':<br />
- Forced attempts at humour (I bet you've noticed)<br />
- Drastic changes in the layout once I get the HTML ball rolling<br />
- Consistent posting, inconsistent topics: I want to keep things interesting, so the topics I cover will range from the fashion/beauty realm to food for the belly and for thought, and things that, put simply, spontaneously pique my interest.<br />
- Pictures. Lots of them. I like to keep it visual.<br />
- Videos: I also have a YouTube channel, which is linked in one of the icons on the top of the blog.
I will also link it here: https://www.youtube.com/user/FashionLurk/videos<br />
Might as well have the best of both worlds, right?<br />
<br />
I hope you keep on keeping on reading! All my lovin',<br />
